Embrace
A Poem about falling in love again in marriage

My head rests steady
in your arms — They
hold my neck in place
fearing a sudden
rise of temptation to
begin again.
Serenity is in the
moment of surrender
between asking for what
you want and getting more
than what you have bargained for.
It is knowing that the
sanctuary of your
partnership provides
an awakening in the
dawn of uncertainty
from the past.
Past this moment is
night that may force you
to wander. But, home
will be here, in the
grip of your arms
where tenderness
wins over grit.
