That’s a good question. Editorial Calendar is a calendar where you plan out all the topics you are going to write on a blog for an extended period of time. You can plan it out for the whole month, for the next 3 months, etc.. Editors of major websites will use it to plan out all the blog posts on different sections of the blog so that they can work with different writers on specific topics. It’s usually shared between editors and writers so that they can work as a team.

However, my favorite writing teacher on Medium Shaunta Grimes has this great editorial calendar method that she uses. It’s probably the only one that I would highly recommend. My idea list is good for people who has trouble using an editorial calendar or who needs a less structured way to organize their blogging work.
