Well.. I’m pretty sad for the chicken now. It’s symbolic how he was restrained, how he threatened his owner with the fact that he might roam away. Then, one day he disappears.. he probably became dinner. I have nightmares still from my childhood “live” animals that were chopped off in front of us to prepare for holiday dinners. I’m glad there are supermarkets now so that children today won’t have to witness the horror of eating animals that are deemed “fresh”.
